Stopping email notifications

Is it possible to stop the emails, they clog me up

In preferences at the top - have you unticked the options "and receive email notifications"?

We are about to run an upgrade to the whole site as the email integration isn't working that well. So if this doesn't work, the new version of the site should (hopefully)
