Cleared a smallish fir tree off the drive this morning (from a house garden hedge, but it's vacant and been for sale for 6 months). Went off to fetch a couple of stock Rams home from semen collection this afternoon, as I didn't fancy working in Doris, received a couple of phone calls from walkers so had a scoot round when I got back after dark. Besides a couple of ash trees down that I knew about this morning, there's another old oak in the parkland down, and a lovely old Copper Beech lost too. I'll have a proper look round the other blocks tomorrow, but quite a few precarious old trees on there too.....

There are two sort of spring loaded catches in sockets at the front, and the springs weren't man enough when the wind got hold of it!

I've got one side of the silage clamp to resheet tomorrow now, it's ripped right off and gone!

It's only my bit of Fen Road. Maybe 50 houses. Lights on at either end. I left my bedside lamp switched on so I'd know when it came back on

Strictly speaking the Watermill is at the end of my road. Richard's windmill is on the next road up ; the "Roman" road that goes from A143 Ixworth to Upper Town Pakenham (the other end of the village from me)

I'm about 1/2 mile off the A143. You should have called by, I could have offered you water, milk or lager but no kettle drinks ..............
