straddling 35ft of straw

thinking about going to 10.5 m header and CTF do people straddle the straw ok behind a 35ft header catching on the move or does it just build up underneath the tractor

I get over the biggest lexion swaths 13.5m no problem with the tractor and baler, admittedly it will have settled abit in a day or two when I get there.

Many will have a unloading auger the right length to avoid straddling it.

If not our combine driver unloads with auger not fully out. Its bloody annoying, but hasn't broken anything yet.

Are you workshop friendly ,
Get some inch tube , 6 of , spaced out to swath width ,full lenth under tractor ,curl the front bit and fasten to weight block or linkage , ,and then through to hook at back , may have to do same under trailer , straw glides under a treat

We do 9 m ctf with a 10.5 m header so cut out evey 3fd swathe at 10.5 then keep trailers on the tramlines
not seen a problem with big swaths and trailers long as trailer driver removes the shoe

We have a long spout to completely clear the swath but that’s no good for ctf. The tractor and trailer compacts the swath so it doesn’t dry that’s why I keep trailers off. I run what I call a very un controlled traffic system which is keep to tramlines where possible but drive anywhere once never go on the same spot twice

How do you go about collecting the bales in a CTF system as surely they can’t keep to the tramlines ?, I know I couldn’t do it as I run a Superchaser so the tractor could be in the tramlines mostly but the chaser won’t be !.
