looking to upgrade from Bunning hd 15 ton wide body , need to spread 24 m down the tramlines with compost. Has any one got any experience of the Strautmann or Bergman disc spreaders please.

There are a lot of Bergman spreaders doing that work here and I’ve heard nothing only praise for them, very good build quality.

What’s wrong with another Bunning?
They spread just as well if not better than the continental machines but also deal with lumps of concrete better too.

They never seemed to last long with contractors down here doing FYM/Concrete K-Two’s/Rolland and Bunnings seem most popular but for 24m wide accurate spreading you’d struggle to better the Bunning on things like litter and sewage cake?

OP states he is involved with compost so concrete, tyres and scrap in the material are very unlikely given the sheer number of processes most compost goes through.
