Looking for a 2nd hand straw chopper to bed cattle yards and sheep yards, not wanting to spend a fortune £2000/£3000.
Been looking at Teagle 80/80 trailed, are they any good ?? Or other model recommendations
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks MGH

At that price buy on condition and/or spec.
they're all much of a muchness if it's just for straw.
just narrow it down to wether you want cable or electric controls. Straight or swivel spout.
swivel won't blow as far but will be handier if you have funny shaped sheds etc

What are the pros and cons of different controls

I had a KV 832 for 15 years and was a good machine, allthough didn’t like damp straw and the side arm chute would block, chute could have done with being larger.
Controls were a spool block on the machine, downside you had to reach out of back window to operate, plus side they never give any bother which can be important especially as machines get older.
Far better build quality than the Teagle I have now and less trouble in 15 years than the Teagle in 3

Got this for 2400 a month ago, it's a fantastic machine compared to my old teagle, swival spout is a real plus for awkward sheds, cable controls arent as refined but to my mind better as I can fix them... Oh and its more manoeuvrable being mounted with no tyres to go flat on a Sunday morn ;)

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
