Done all sorts of hard dirty manual labour.

Looked after a large fleet of buses for years.. always covered in sh!t oil and diesel and un social hours.

Was involved in recycling tyres for a few years..

The Bins? If had to then why Not? I'd even wear a hard hat brushing up on a site if had to.

Would you work the bins?

Granted I've never been a bin man but I reckon there's plenty of worse jobs, knackerman being one, I really wouldn't want that job. So if student 101 reckons bin men should get 25k a year cos it's not a nice job, how much should some of the jobs that are worse than being a bin man pay?

I’ve lads working for me in construction that aren’t on £13.16 an hour and I can set my prices. You’re expecting farmers, who are paid bare minimum, to somehow find this money?

People leave jobs all the time, just because they’re bored. You see it all the time, some people will work at a firm 25 years, other swap jobs every 6 month, most of the time nothing to do with the employer

My posts are meant to ruffle a few feathers and get a discussion going.....it's worked , I've made no personal attacks and are not farmer bashing, I've deliberately raised a few subjects some are sensitive about , hopefully the ones who still live in the 1960s may realise the farming industry has to get in line with other businesses or go under when they have decades of catching up to do in a couple of years.

Bin men do get 25K a year, or at least the guy I know does. Plus a pension arranged by the county council.
