Stubble Turnips

Hi, just introduced Mule ewe lambs to mix to turnips, berseem clover and peas. Sheep eating clover and peas but not interested in the major crop of turnips. Do they take a while to get interested?

Will take them about a week before they start eating them but once they get the taste for them they will go mad for them

As above, ewes been on about ten days now and really in love with them now! Are they electric fenced in there?? if they were tighter that would encourage them on to it quicker as they won’t be able to pick an choose!! Mine are strip grazing a certain allocation every two to three days, find the wastage is minimal this way! But what ever suits your circumstances is best for you

Next time you go round, take a light spade with you to split a few bulbs.

And bury any dead lambs at the same time.

If you have a fence hold then tight until they start eating them

Looks an awfully big block of ground they are on. They need keeping a bit tight to start them eating the turnips.
