Sunday day off or another day of work

I just carry on as normal on a Sunday. If a job needs doing then its done.
My late Mother never used to approve but never stopped me. Father was Churchwarden for many years so it was always church first on a Sunday morning for him and mother. Weather doesn't allow us to take a strict line that no work is done on a Sunday here.

There's a lot of 24/7 shift workers around here so its always someone's 'Sunday'.
Normal work noise in town, builders, road works etc is between 7 and 6 mon-fri, maybe Saturday too.
The biggest pain are those that think everyone's at a party on Saturday night, so they make a right noise, with music etc.
A lot of farms work all the time but everything's more spread out, so you don't get the complaints.

Try not to work on Sunday’s unless there is work to be done. I’ll usually try to work longer hours during the week to be able to take Sundays off.

However, it does annoy me that this time of the year, there are a lot of Bank Holidays when we are busy!

I completely get the when something needs to be done. And do work on a sunday but try and keep quite or less disruptive jobs for then. Like cut the grass on a Saturday instead of a Sunday

Saturday is our Sunday at this time of year, we harvest carrots Sunday to Thursday, maintenance and repairs of the kit on Friday. Saturday off which is something I appreciate much more now I’m older , used to love working 7 days a week but try not to now if I can.

this time of year we fence 6 days a week then we have Sunday off, I spend most Sunday’s usually looking at jobs and catching up with my own jobs, or repairing things or delivering materials or machines for the next week, always try and do nothing Sunday afternoon, me and the gf went and took up 300 metres of clipex this morning then had the afternoon off.
There was a time when we would fence Sunday’s as well a long while back, but I was getting so tired and sick we would get no more done, 60 hours a week fencing is the limit for me

Sunday is just another day why is it considered special
Its considered a day of rest to some. I know shops are open but most are reduced hours.
Everyone needs a little bit of peace. Can you say you would be happy with a chainsaw buzzing away as you sit down to relax whenever that is
