Suzuki KingQuad clutch/drive belt problem

Hi all,
Relatively new to forum and to doing own repairs however, son now keen to give repairs a go so thought it was a Good idea that he changed drive belt when it broke. Simple belt changed. When we started bike it moves in neutral, problem!
Googled problem and looked like it may be one way bearing which came out in many pieces, replaced and no better.
Now getting sick as much better things to do on livestock farm!
From basic knowledge of mechanics I thought the shaft From the wet clutch should be idle on tick over and when revved the springs would allow pads to engage due to centrifugal force but may be wrong.
As shaft spins all of the time the primary centrifugal clutch is engaging and gripping drive belt hence the bike moves.
Has anyone any ideas of problem and advice

Yes you are correct in your description how it should work.
Give yourselves a bit time to study the video and the next one that comes up, you just missed something. If he has an interest in fixing, dont discourage him.Even if you have to take it out again, wheres the harm, surely you can live without it for a day or two? Come back to it fresh ......
Good luck ...........

Thanks, I will have a look tomorrow with son. You are right and I will not be discouraging him as he keen its just knowing where to get a little more advice when the obvious does not work which frustrates me however, it is how knowledge and confidence is built by having a go.

Just re reading your original post, Are you saying the bike drives even when in neutral?
Yes it was driving even when in neutral when I last had a look at it on Saturday. The shaft from the wet clutch housing spins when engine started and will not stop even under pressure. Could it be wet clutch problem?

Might be a broken spring on the wet clutch, causing it to be engaged all the time. As for driving while in neutral, gear lever linkage may need adjusted, check engine rubber mounts too, gear selector may be bent or worn (doubtful though) check spline on gear selector lever on engine end lines up with the markings

One way bearing def

I have checked bearing again today and in correct as marked outside to the outside, shaft spins counter clockwise when turned by hand but not clockwise, Thanks
Is it supposed to spin counter clock wise and not clock wise?
