Drilling Swedes on ridges with a Stanhay belted machine on cage rear wheels did not go good .Wheels jammed and filled with soil took scrapers off and went a little better. Been offered a choice of flat stainless ones off an Air drill or split stainless ones. Anyone ever tried the split ones drilling swedes ?

Did you use ridge rollers before drilling.
Ridge Rollers ? never heard of that.Rotovate,5 row ridger then 4 row drill with Stanhay 981 with front rubber tyre

Always used to firm the ridges down with ridge rollers before planting with the stanhay. Will put a picture up of the ridge rollers we used to use once I have found them amongst the nettles.

Here you go. Mine only does 2 ridges at a time but I have seen versions doing 4 at a time.
