T7030 Intellisteer joystick switch

Hey people, I have a T7030 Autocommand tractor with an Intelliview 4 screen. When I bought it the previous owner had removed the GPS receiver and Nav controller for the auto steer. I have since replaced these, got a technician to upgrade the software in the screen and auto steer now works. The only problem is the steering activation switch is on the Intelliview screen, which is a pain to operate. Is there any way to activate the auto steer button on the joystick? It used to beep when pressed before the software was upgraded, but no longer does. Thanks in advance!

Either the configurations fot the MFH have changed at software update or the wrong vehicle profile has been set wrong or the PCB in the MFH has packed in

It’s probably because the NAV profile you have selected is not configured to support the SideWinder II armrest.

If you disconnect the NAV controller (big connector is enough, size 4 Allen key) and switch on the tractor and press the button - if it beeps in the dash then it means the button is ok.

Reconnect the NAV and select a different model in the display in the menu Calibrations > NAV > Vehicle model profile. Try selecting AutoCommand T7060 or T7070 (even if this is not your tractor)
I think if you try the button now it should give a warning on the display which means it’s being recognised ok.
You will need to recalibrate the guidance and then it should work.

You, sir, are a gentleman and a scholar! We followed your advice and discovered the tech had programmed in Power Command rather than Auto Command, hence no steer button. Changed this and everything now works as it should. Thank you for your help.
