Very smart!

Grandads yard and many in that area got concreted for a few £ notes with spare/cancelled loads when they were doing the M1,

C B

I am only joking about the cash and M6 btw !

Been booked in with a very professional (no caravan owning) long established local company with great reputation for a while

It’s not a cheap job (unfortunately !)

Last one with strong irish accent bushy red beard.
No thanks mate nothing wrong with my lane

Can anyone advise on approximate price per m2 for a base and top coat, but excluding the hardcore sub base and associated costs? It’s a farm lane of about 300m long.

AC20 binder60 mm&AC10 surface 40 MM,420 m2 @£28.01/m2
£12884.60 for 120 m x 3m with 10x3 hammerhead at end and a 15x2.5 m passing place
Preparation option plus £4750
All plus vat
Best company locally by all reports (not cowboys)
But if I was doing own farm road (less than 4 houses on it ) I would go for concrete as it would work out miles cheaper if you have a source of aggregate and cement and use a hired volumetric mixer think I can get it down to £35 / cube meter if (£6 per square meter) with cement powder at £80/ tonne using own labour and machine for loading and spreadig use steel for shutteringand reusing for next section planning 600x3.5m later this year.

I worked for a waste disposal company for a while and we used to take in cement from offshore.
I asked if it could be reused and was told that it wasn’t feesable as there were certain additives added to the cement, depending on what situation it was to be used for offshore.
I was also told that if the rig knew the cement was going for disposal, then they often emptied out other powder tanks into the cement and it all came back together, with who knows what all mixed together.
