what ive seen is people running these as company cars are the target for hmrc , they will be classed a car under these circumstances

Don’t think it is. Pretty sure commercial status means £320 road tax regardless of engine size or emissions whereas non commercial varies considerably.

Oh dear, that poor lad I misinformed on here over BIK on pickups when I suggested getting base spec and putting on extras after to keep the bik figure down will be miffed with his full spec machine. It turns out I was wrong only briefly... phew!
