Previous post was posted at the hospital car park this morning as wife had taken hell of a bash from a gate this morning to her head and been for an X-ray.
@Sid our current Tb has been found to be exactly the same strain as previously hit us. The tests the government are currently using do not clear it from the cows and it lies dormant and can come out again at any point which it has. It’s actually hit cow families seriously hard and cleared lines of cows and heifers of different generations
If you can’t graze grass for 60 days after slurry application how is an organic farmer gonna grow grass
Job creation in clearing up cow pats ever hour and spraying disinfectant a metre around each one will become compulsory πŸ‘

As you said I have no idea what you spread with your dribble bar.

What I do know is about 2 other farms that have them and have issues with stomach lesions in cattle. That suggests ingestion.
I have asked for more background information from APHA on this subject.

First grazing round is okay feb/April then grass runs out through end April to end may than clover kicks in to end of year
Get a cold wet year you end up with nothing

The issue is raising its head.
The fact is dribble bars have made grass more grazable than with a splash plate.

Ah .. gotcha now.

Not the fault of the grant system though.
Perhaps they should have bought injectors if it is such a big issue
