Not selling fat cattle ourselves, how clean do the reactors have to be? hauliers said make sure they are clean, compensation reduced to 50% if are deemed too dirty at slaughter. Anyone had an issue with this, the compensation isn’t particularly great for the young bulls as it is

You could say they are under withdrawal and would be shot on farm ,but that would be a shame as wouldn't end up in food chain,morally wrong but what is fair about tb and restrictions and freedom to trade

That will definitely be the case next time if we have an issue, they are clean in my eyes been bedded on a good bed of straw all winter

Send them and if they’re to dirty defra dont get paid it shouldn’t effect your compensation because you can have them shot on farm, chucked in the skip and you still get full compensation.
Fudging TB is a nightmare as it is without the powers that be putting pressure on about how clean they are.
