Rear and then fatten, but as we are using all sexed Holstein. So we are seeing a lot less bulls, so mostly just angus and Holstein heifers.

There are getting fewer options for TB calves now as the rules are being tightened.

we have run a grazing AFU for the past ten years, taking TB restricted calves and taking them through to fat, but ours will come to an end in 2 years time as we are now in a cull area.

Defra have published new rules to try and keep units going, but they really are unworkable in my veiw.

My advise would be if you don't have the space, get rid as soon as you can as your first loss is the best, and struggling to keep calves over winter will take your focus off your main enterprise.

Meadow Quality, Buitelaar or Livestock Link to name a few. Could be worth posting some on sell my livestock and gauging the interest? You would probably be better off mainly calving to a named sire Angus once you have enough for replacements and rearing your self and selling as strong stores at 12-14 months old. It wont take much time to look after the extra stock as long as you have some decent sheds

I thought they had stopped grazing afu's as soon as they became inside a cull area and forced you to badger proof the farm yard

Only after 2 years of being in a cull area.

Couple of large grazing AFU's I know of with land that isn't suitable for grain have been buying store lambs to graze it and have all the cattle housed 365 days of the year, they are not very happy about it to put it in polite terms!
