Teejet Head Scratcher

I have a Teejet Centreline 220 which I use for putting fert on grassland. It comes with a plug that fits into the cigar lighter in the tractor cab. Last year everything worked as it should.

This year, when I plug the machine in and try to power up, it won't. And it's not just an ill fitting plug, as there's a little LED on the male plug that lets you know that there is power to it, and that's on.

But this is the confusing bit; if I take the machine and plug it into the cigar lighter in my pick up truck, it powers up no problem!

Unfortunately my L200 is no good at spreading fert...

Anybody any ideas?

I reckon it'll be the tractor socket, dirt, corrosion or connectors. Enough power for the LED but not enough for the instrument.

Drive the truck up and down the field to mark your tramlines out then return with tractor! ;-)

I've chopped off the male cigar lighter plug and put on a half moon type, and we're back working again now!
