Have got a lot of the high quality big thick poles been left by the electric guys am fancying build a straw shed out of them anybody got an idea how wide i could make it ?

we knocked this up a couple years ago at work and I’d say it’s about the limit of how wide we could have gone without centre supports, off top of my head it’s about 30ft with 4ft overhang on the front then 14ft bays

Depends on how good a joiner you are , my advice dont even go there pole barns are thr work of the devil , sell them and but a proper kit and build a
Proper shed , i pulled my pole barn down 2010 couldnt
Stand it no more .

NFU insure all my sheds and have paid out on my Hammer and nail sheds so above is not an issue as long as you don't insure with cowboys 🤣
Funniy enough it was the nfu that tried to cock on my claim on a pole barn , they are the only insurance company i have ever had that i have had bother with , they did cough up in the end , the one thing i did learn most of the insurers are inly as good as there area reps. The mutual just fines people for loyalty and bribes them to join the nfu which apparently they have no conection with 😂
