Needing some new boots on the manitou shortly, what are people's experiences of the bibload type tire over the ag Patten ones ? 50/50 concrete and off road work, bit of silage pit work and muck loading plus general stuff, are they any good for that work ?

I think Bibload are harder on the machine than standard tyres??? as in wearing track rods ends and king pin bearings out sooner? that or the straight track rod ball joint knuckles have got a bit soft in the past couple years!

I would go for bibload, they don’t seem to bite into stoned yards as much and chew the place up. Still perform well in the field

We put a set on our Manitou 634 a year ago and they have performed well enough so far. Loaded muck in field corners with out issue. Lot of concrete yard work.

Had an ex demo JCB on Bibloads 3 years ago. Similar workload, no problem regarding grip but they really hold onto the mud if moving from field to yard all the time which was annoying but not unexpected. They lasted better than XMCL’s but we didn’t replace the bibloads with another set. If on concrete with occasional field use then they are great.

If you do any muck loading or trailer towing off road bibload are hopeless, managed to get stuck on damp grass with two tonne of fert on a bale trailer. They are also great for covering the road and tracks etc with mud for miles. Michelin ag pattern any day for me lasted twice as long as the BKT equivelant on the same machine and nearly as long as the bibload

Got a new jcb coming on standard tread tyres, wondered if I should swap them for the bibload tyres before it's built, 95% of it's work is on hard standing just not sure how it will perform when buckraking on the silage clamp? Anyone with experience?
