Tesco profits

Tesco are back in profit to the tune of 162million....does that mean they'll stop punishing farmers and put prices up [/

In your dreams !!!!!
BUT in order to get back into profit they have closed down/sold off 60 unprofitable stores,
and sold off some of the overseas businesses they have ie - there is no sentimental
"this is the way we have always done things, if it was good enough for my grandfather/
father, it is good enough for me attitude".

Our local tesco sells irish beef most of the time ,wife moans at them each time see does her shopping, but last week she purchased some pork British you have never seen something so bad,the joint was uneatable ,she took photos and complaint ed to tesco ,she was told sorry we will refund your money.
It was not the producers fault but the butchering method ,but you can bet other customers would blame the producer.

Don't ever go there. Most things they sell seem bland and awful aside from proper brands. I also find that most of their customers are fat scrubbers like in Asda who clog up the isles and yell at their kids. So go to Sainsburies instead. Or Aldi where for some reason everyone speaks in a northern or Brummie accent. No idea why as it's South Devon. Generally decent stuff at good prices, especially UK meat.

I think they took the opportunity to write down everything bad in one hit on their profits last year, leaving room now for "modest" profits

Sorry I find your comments wrong,I sell to asda and would never call customers what you called them.Plus my wife shops at both and she certainly would put you right on your opinion. What do you call the men that shop there.
We need the customers to buy our meat so name calling on were they shop is rude.
