TFF promoting carbon capture rip off

Without measuring every drop of diesel I use in MF135 how the heck do they know how much carbon I use?
An and if I sell hay to a horse customer who pays for carbon credits? Not I says the farmer, i’ve sequestered it in the hay. So the horsewoman had to get her calculator out and work out how much the horse burns and how much it sequesters in horse sh!t.
My God, what a complicated system.
And that is the point isn’t it? Everything we grow absorbs CO2. That should be included in our +/- calculation. It’s our customers that convert it back into CO2. Oh but we can’t have a system that makes sense can we? It would hurt the feelings of the people who eat and damage their pockets too. And we can’t make them take responsibility can we?

GWP*. All livestock farmers should be lobbying for this to be adopted as THE calculator for UK agriculture. Until it is we and the livestock we farm will continue to be labelled as the biggest cause of global warming despite all the thousands of acres of grassland growing on healthy soils sequestering millions of tonnes of carbon. This is our issue as livestock farmers. This is the message that is being lost. Selling carbon credits or whatever is a non issue for me - frankly I cannot help but associate this practice with the very people who are our biggest critics.
Amen. No further questions.

that carbon offsetting scheme is ridiculous, all they are doing is stopping bits of rainforest being cut down!

if that is proved to be a scam could put a load of value onto farmland sequestration.

Bit like charging an Electric vehicle on "offset" green energy.

Another complete con by regenerative car users

Basically it says most carbon credits arent real reductions in CO2 emissions

Surely no carbon credits are real reductions in co2 emissions ? Why would you buy carbon credits if you have actually reduced your emissions ? No need to try and con anyone if you have done good ? (happy to be corrected, it confuses the f@ck out of me tbh).

Carbon Credits just shouldn't exist. It's just a tax on economic activity which increases the cost of production - it won't make any difference to the rich because "Monaco", "Luxemburg", "Switzerland" etc.

If Carbon was a real issue then Super Yachts, Private Planes, Super Mansions and Super Cars would be banned immediately.

Doubtful because those things are enjoyed by the elite who are increasing their own wealth at the expense of normal people. It’s the normal working class that will be affected by carbon targets.
And quite rightly so, surely?

Per "elite" yacht owning individual, there are literally millions of poor polluting "working" class enjoying their Mediterranean break away from the constant daily grind that their filthy planet killing lives have become consuming electricity, food, and fuel?

Everyone is equal, but some are more equal than others
