Thank you the gate was there so the cattle could drink but not walk through the ford ,
A few previous jobs......
@S J H Excellent work! Looking at the Defender and Protech, I passed you on the A14 on Tuesday about quarter past three, you were heading West!
Do you bang the square posts in or dig them in? How do you keep them perfectly square?
What size was the tracked dumper before the conversion?
Extending the village football pitches
Expensive way of bracing posts. What's wrong with the standard strainer and strut arrangement?
Why expensive? I make box strainers with a length of HT wire and a Gripple with a fence post across the top. Nothing's moved yet.
It keeps more wood out of the ground, where it will rot off too quickly, especially modern tanalised stuff.
Using two strainers instead of one is going to cost more. That's without counting the time wasted hitting in the extra post!

My Bryce driver doesn't waste much time pushing those posts in the ground. I think I could probably do a box strainer as quick as a slanting type one and it is certainly a lot stronger.Using two strainers instead of one is going to cost more. Let's see some pictures of your fencing then.Using two strainers instead of one is going to cost more. That's without counting the time wasted hitting in the extra post!
Thanks@Zetor Do you drive all the arena posts with the Bryce?
I'm guessing the round walker were all dug/augered in?
Very nice job btw!
Do you use pointed or flat bottomed posts? Thanks
That knocker of your's must be a dream to use compared to our old one?
None of the posts are dug/augered all driven in with the Bryce, we started with 5ft posts but they had a habit of leaning over time we now use 7 & 8ft on the virgin ground and 9 & 10ft on any made up ground, with the 10ft there's more in the ground than out.
Must of been the chaps who advertise in the FG, as they look to have the same tracked Protech.Afraid that wasn't me Andy unless it was near Irthlinborough a couple of weeks ago? I try and stay of the A14 and A1 away from VOSA
