Ok I'll pluck the first figure from the air at £3/m but could easily be £4/m
I'd say that's not unreasonable up here you would struggle to get anyone for less than £3 per metre .
But you could have lots of turns, battling through hedge edge, maybe a section of rock requires spike every post, every termination needs stayed at strainer,
Insulators on every post, radiseurs on every wire, lead out cable put on , if you space posts out to maybe say 6 mtrs that could take price down,

I don't work on day rate, so I don't know how accurate I'd be, but I would think it could be anywhere between £400 to £600, it depends on your area and what the labour supply is like and what the job is like. A pint is around £5 just to put thing into perspective.

£600 a day would be like saying £1 a meter

Hi, finished this afternoon replacing forty plus year old chestnut (known locally as Sussex) post and rail at field entrance. No back net yet but that can wait until later on in the year. Thought to send a picture or two. Good old Fiesta does it again! Yes, it’s rustic, but won’t move.

How many metres would you do in a day. 4 strand. Posts every 12m
How many strands are electrified? 1/2/3 or all 4. How many turns that need strutting? Is ground easy knocking or rock/boulders. How many gates in the lines? What's the average length of run? What type of Insulators do you plan on using?

Not my taste by a longshot but that is some great crafsmanship.
