There's a piece of video doing the rounds with the Pope all smiley and happy, Trump is behind him, Pope turns his head, sees Trump, and smile instantly disappears!
not very christian of him, I thought he loved everyone, hows the church getting sorting out the abusers in its midst and spending some its mega wealth helping the poor and controlling population growth ?

Well, they had an election up in Montana yesterday and of course the Republican candidate won.......even though he admitted to roughing up some so called reporter from your "Guardian" newspaper.

Further confirmation, if it were needed that the people who voted for president Trump are happy with their choice and are happy to vote for him again.

He sounds a nice well balanced sort of a chap, probably lucky for the reporter he didn't have a gun.

"A witness account of the incident given by a Fox News reporter claims that, after Jacobs asked Gianforte his question, the candidate “grabbed Jacobs by the neck with both hands and slammed him into the ground” before punching him".

And they say healthcare is an emotive subject over here.

Unfortunately till we get a leader with some balls to stand up for our country I would think we will have to pay more

Leaders and CEO's of many of the world's companies engaged in carbon intense industries all acknowledge that the situation has to change. They support the Paris agreement and are engaged in it. They are actively changing their companies and business models away from today's system and towards renewable and green energy sources.
Even the heads of the US military acknowledge the system has to change.
Individual states in USA have come out and said they support the agreement and will legislate and act accordingly. In other words totally disregarding Trump.
Thankfully most of us don't want to pass on a destroyed planet to those who come after us.
No fan of May as a leader, but fair dues to her. Made a call last night to Trump and voiced her dissapointment. Respect to her for that. :finger:

Elon Musk has parted company with Trump, IMO he should never have got involved. You can't influence that president for good, only bad decisions. He lacks any intelligence, didn't know much about NATO but saw fit to condemn it, didn't know healthcare was complicated, doesn't have the intellect to understand the worlds climate is changing for the worse. One only has to read this forum to see many instances of droughts and floods.

Happy day.

Maybe Europe will step up to the plate with a few $billions to fund the swamp.......

I take comfort in knowing non of my tax dollars will.

Maybe the US will step up to the plate and take more of these refugees they keep creating for us to deal with. Maybe then we will buy more NATO based weapons from you.;)

Everyone should watch the video.

Elon Musk is one smart guy..no question, he is hailed as the new Messiah in many quarters, the stock in his auto company is worth more than Ford or GM ........he has pursuaded the previous administration to give him $ billions of tax dollars to build a battery plant in Nevada and yet he has never been able to turn a profit.

The sceptics among us are non too convinced that the battery powered car IS the future, a society based around a fuel that you have to hang around for even an hour / 30 mins to fuel up means an awful lot of wasted time.

Can see an overnight charge to drive to the office, but taking the family on vacation or your daughters out for the evening and worrying about enough charge to return home.

Like it or not fossil fuels are going to be around for a long time.

Fossil fuels will be around for a long time to come, but as a portion of total demand will decline.
Battery technology is coming on in leaps and bounds.

PS: The Trump declaration is just for show. Just keeping the voters happy for now.
Corporate America will push it's R&D dollars into renewable energy sources or risk getting left behind.
Very fact that Tillerson not in tune with Trump's decision says it all really.

Probably so but Americans won't be wasting their money for others to do the same

Think the killer was that the largest polluter (China) has another 12 years in which under this agreement it is not required to do anything.

America produces millions of gallons of ethanol/bio diesel daily, solar farms covering thousands of acres / wind power and huge hydro power plants. Everyone and his dog in my location has installed solar (350 day sunshine) Hybrid vehicles everywhere even hydrogen powered Toyota's for sale on the west coast.

Trump promised he would be out of this stupid deal during the campaign. If every other country that signed on was doing as much as US......but they are not.

I listened to the Donalds speech with an open mind and found it made a lot of sense from a US point of view...........and as for Carbon its wayyyyyy too late to stop it now! The future is Carbon and not Oxygen on this planet which means Yuuuggeee changes and a lot sooner than the herd thinks;)
