North south divide, capital london in the south east with that all the wealth is spread through out the home counties, now if birmingham or manchester had been the UKs capital how different it would have all been? Levelling up? Even in the height of the depression (1930s). Us lot down here in the "soft" south, didnt suffer nearly as much, fact my fathers father, like many others made the long trike down south from county durham to seek work ?

I'm sure it will balance out.
I would like to be combining a month earlier like they do in the south, but there are other problems in the south I'm sure.

I'm always careful of being envious about other people's lives, most folks have their struggles.

Well we do, or we would be in total darkness and all plant life would be dead.

But yes, I do realise that you're referring to direct sunshine and there's no doubt that a bit more of it would be both very welcome and very beneficial.
