The war in Ukraine...

We already know that, following their dismal public performance, orders for Russians arms is a tiny fraction of what it was before it started the war in Ukraine. Now we know that the Kremlin will have a list of states it sold arms to, and that are now effectively supplying those same arms to Ukraine.
Is that good news ? if they are that dismal are the Ukrainians going to get killed using them

A fair point, but... the stuff is supposed to be in date and it's not high-tech', mainly artillery shells.

The Russian stuff that foreign buyers now don't want is armour, ATWs, air defence (Layers 1, 2 & 3 which have all proven poor), aircraft, radar and various sorts of missiles. Basically, the real high-cost, big money-earning stuff... :)

Understanding what the new way of fighting has become ,in part ,for Ukraine ,and ultimately everyone I suppose
At what point do you think the Russians will tire of losing so many men & equipment & resort to the one weapon they have that the Ukrainians don't have, seems to me there will come a point when they have no choice but to use it.

Game over for everyone? Did you actually watch all that or just come out with the first thing you could think of?
Course I watched it & it has been obvious for some time that there is no hiding place from drones, there will come a point when Russia says enough & resorts to nukes into Ukraine & what can the West then do?

So which NATO country is going to enter Russia & hunt down Putin & his mates, seize their foreign assets & every bit of Chinese finance abroad would immediately be heading back to China causing a collapse Western money markets, not so simple as you might imagine.

In reality, it seems you are the only one who imagined a solution was simple.
Your solution was Ukraine didn’t fight at all, let the Russians take over all, or whatever part of Ukraine they wanted, then they all lived in peace, love and harmony.
if only 🙁

Chinese are self serving, It wont happen they cant afford the loss, 50 million bounty for intelligence would with drones and missiles do the job on Putin and his cronies. Foreign assets are ones NOT in Russia.

Hmm... one needs to be a bit careful with Peter Zeihan, he really knows his stuff about some subjects, but on others he is almost embarrassingly ignorant of the history and current situation. However, on economics and procurement he has a very good record.

On our local news today they're saying that the French state will if necessary use requisition powers to sort out weapons production.

From being utterly awful regarding Ukraine it appears that France is now doing what every country should have done from day one. I write 'appears' because deeds speak louder than words and we know Macron is playing politics at the moment as well. But if it all pans out, credit where it's due.

A few things make me think that we may well see France genuinely taking Ukraine more seriously / seriously enough, these are:

1) There are mentions on military fora about there being far more French kit inside Ukraine than has been officially stated, mainly artillery;

2) Within NATO France has a history of not liking it when the anglophone countries do noticeably more and / or their influence in a given matter increases (I know this sounds petty, but history bears it out);

3) At long last France seems to be recognising that its own long-term influence in the EU - post Germany's diminishing - is going to be made or broken by the regard that the Eastern EU states have for it. And that this is going be nearly 100% based on how it is seen to act with regard to Ukraine.

I don't think we are anywhere near seeing French troops being directly sent to take up combat roles in Ukraine. But the comments from various retired Generals over the last few weeks, that France might send troops to relieve Ukraine of guarding its Belarus border are credible. And France following the UK by sending more training teams to work inside Ukraine is a given.
