The war in Ukraine...

Sincerity, It is not me who is supporting the daily death of young Ukrainians, it is you who is playing arm chair general.

Go on enlighten us what do you think will happen to conclude affairs? Will Mr Biden send in American troops?
I think that if provided with sufficient backing by the West, with or without the US, in terms of military materiel and finance, Ukraine will defeat Russia. And I think that because...

Russia has no more money to put into its economy, all of its home held state reserves are now committed, its foreign held reserves are frozen. It has already lost nearly 20% of its oil refining capacity - after just a four month campaign by Ukraine, it doesn't have the funds, capacity r knowledge to replace them.

Russia's own materiel is far from depleted, but... what is left is in very poor condition and is antiquated; it hasn't the ability to compete with Western weapons production, so it continues with what it can do. But it now has to do so with fewer and less skilled people, restoring ever older kit less well.

Russia has far great human resources that Ukraine, that is a plain fact. But when you have an advantage if 3:1, fighting to gain villages at a loss rate often nearing 10:1 negates that advantage entirely.

And, even from such polls as can be taken in Russia, we see that about a third of people support the war, a third don't care and a third are against it - all this without being told the truth. But that truth will come home with a vengeance when, as he will eventually have to, Putin starts killing off ethnic Russians from the Western Oblasts, St Petersburg and Moscow.

Russia is a dictatorship with an economy smaller than Italy's, even without the US - and I do not think Trump will win the election in November - the West has more than an order of magnitude more money, more manufacturing ability and more technology than Russia.

That's what I think. :)

So you tell me how you see this ending, the West seems determined to keep arming & financing Ukraine & both sides in the war have lost far too much already for negotiations to have any chance of succeeding, Biden's mouth has disqualified America from trying to bring about any kind of a peaceful solution.
There will come a point where Russian losses will force them to go nuclear into Ukraine, this has now become pretty much inevitable.

I do wish they would get on with it. Then we could move your conversation onto the next chapter.

Have ever wondered, it’s not how you see things it’s how Ukraine see and want to handle things
you just see things Russia's way
Not really, I just look at it from an outsiders point of view & I simply can't see any way Russia would allow themselves the total embarrassment & humiliation of being beaten, in which case Ukraine alone are on a hiding to nothing!
