The war in Ukraine...

Me neither...

Compare with MH17. When surface to air missiles explode they commonly explode via a proximity fuse, which showers the target with a sphere or cone of small fragments moving at high speed, not dissimilar from a shotgun. These pass through the thin skin of an aircraft no sweat but leave clear shot holing behind.

There was definitely something in the earlier video (post 30,254 ), that had dissipated when the camera panned back to that part of the sky, whilst the tumbling jet was cloud obscured.
Also sounds of a jet - that could of been the targets engine, though.

Have no knowledge of aerial combat or weapons, but I think it could have been an air to air missile. No exhaust trail, though. 🤔

Brilliant.

Prigozhin knew about the impending assassination attempt - Lukashenka

Alexander Lukashenko said that he knew about the impending assassination attempt on Yevgeny Prigozhin and promptly transmitted this information to Putin and Bortnikov in a cipher.

According to the President of Belarus, the message came to him from "deep sources" when he flew to the Emirates. After that, Lukashenka asked Prigozhin whether the information had reached him, to which Prigozhin replied that Putin had given him the information.

The last time Alexander Lukashenko was on an official visit to the UAE was in January of this year.

Assinating Wagner chiefs is all well and good, but what will become of Wagner forces??

They were doing a large amount of work and influence building for Russia abroad, particularly in Africa, and had become defacto security for many questionable regimes.

I'd imagine most spy agencies in the world are scrambling to get a spy high up into it now,and potentially handed west an once in a generation espionage golden opportunity

I'd imagine putin will put someone in place that shares the ideology.

The Wagner folks were basically PMC contractors who would go anywhere and do virtually anything, even probably illegal or otherwise questionable things for money. Such individuals are readily recruited by intelligence agencies- money is a prime reason for a person to become a foreign agent and it's not something Uncle Sam is short of.

What do you mean 'probably'?

I said probably because I didn't want to hurt Brian's feelings in case he was quite supportive of those guys. I understand one of the senior ranks lives next door to his beach house in Sochi? Probably a nice guy, just misunderstood, fake news, you know, that sort of thing.
