Acceptable to America and Russia, what say did the Iraqis, Libyans and Afgans have in their wars?
Not analogous.
You are saying war could continue as a stalemate over this front line and then the US would order a retreat by Ukraine across territory they have given hundreds of thousands of lives to protect?
It's not realistic

I am saying the leaders of America and Russia will sit down, do a deal, tell us what we want to hear and take control of the country via a puppet government.

Time to make Putin think about prolonging the war,
To show we mean business then what about a War Tax?
Starting off 5% on imports, income tax, benefits for non-UK nationals, electric cars.etc.
Must be loads of ways to find the funds. I think we now see more clearly the way the world is shaping. If we bury our heads in the sand now global warming may be the least of our worries.

We will see after the next American election
The americans don't want to support the Ukrainians any more, they haven't for some time, it's a vote winner for trump, he only has to continue this policy to force an end.
Actively carving up a european country by secret agreement is not on the agenda.
There will be plenty of ukraine left for american companies to exploit opportunities in.
Though mineral riches are concentrated in the Donbas

Biden & the Democrats need the war to go away far more than Trump, the last thing they need in the run up to an election is either side making substantial gains or losses, Zelensky replacing his top commanders promising a victory rather than the previous more pragmatic ones is the last thing Biden really needed as no negotiations will come until further terrible losses.

putin owns the cnt!! Perhaps the most irresponsible statement ever said by a statesman. Without US adhering to its NATO commitments russian invasion of the baltics and parts of Europe will become inevitable. Tens of millions will die in the upcoming war. 😔

Which war would that be, the one where Russia who is unable to advance against an army running out of arms whose average is over 40 is going to take on the whole of Europe & US, if you believe the crap that's being spouted by a raft of embarrassed idiots then you really are a fool.

It seems quite foolish though to believe a direct assault is the only way to wage war

You are missing a key point which, for someone who purports to be a realist / pragmatist, is rather odd.

What you have alluded too elsewhere and forecast for Ukraine simply isn't going to happen for one very obvious reason - Ukraine is a white European country, and so will be treated differently to a non-white country from elsewhere.

Paint any way you like, this is the reality. (y)

russia is now on a full war economy, the russian army of 2027 will be far larger, far stronger than the remnants fighting in Ukraine today. russia has shown its willingness to loose 1000 lives a day and carry on regardless. putin knows NATO countries do not have the stomach to sustain warfare in which such vast casualties are taken, without US backing other NATO countries not at risk of russian invasion will cut deals to spare their citizens being slaughtered. NATO is not on a war footing, putin is using meat to deplete NATO artillery supplies far faster than it can be replaced. He knows if pet trump is elected the US military will be kept out. putin would willingly loose 10million russian lives to achieve his imperial ambitions. Look, much as I hope you are right on this, everything points to you being wrong, as usual.

Just out of interest, why does the Ukrainian Army have the average age you claim?
