Fellow TFF members today is indeed a momentous day a day that will be looked back on as the day that ovine potential was dragged in to the 21st century, a day so significant in sheep production history that I feel and I am sure you will to will become known as national sheep day
a day on which such momentous advances to ovine genetics have been achieved,
an exactly 200% flock lambing percentage
an exactly 50/50 split in gender distribution, giving one to keep and one to eat
and a truly diverse outcome to fit the modern world
all combined with the superior weatherproof head [ @neilo ] that has been our trademark for many years

On this day and in order to push this new era in sheep production out to our fellow producers we at Flufffhead genetics would like to call on @Cab-over Pete with his undoubted overall numerical advantage in the sheep word today to enter in to immediate negotiations to form a new partnership the like of which the sheep world has never seen before, with one goal in mind the total transformation of sheep farming as we know it

What I hear the cry from the TFF sheep producers, what breakthrough could have been achieved on this truly momentous day ?

fellow TFF members we [that is @farmerclare and myself ] at Flufffhead genetics and indeed Flufffhead herself would like to announce rather fittingly on Mothering Sunday.............................

I’m sure we could work something out.

Total domination is just months away, no doubt.
Yes if we get this right Pete then NZ lamb [ @Kiwi Pete ] will be just a distant memory, everyone will want a slice of Flufffhead lamb :D in fact it will be the only thing on the menu :)

For some time I have been trying to develop sheep with smaller heads for easier lambing. This week I made significant steps to achieving it.
Not only will it lead to easier lambing, I fear you're overlooking a more important point - a smaller head also means a smaller mouth. Smaller mouths mean the feckers won't be able to eat so much either.
Truly a win win situation (y)

I'm aiming for shorter legs (they only go in the rendering bin anyway) so that they can't walk as fast so there will be no need for electric fences when the intention is to strip graze neeps or one needs to practise rotational grazing. In fact on that point...if I develop legs shorter on one side (like Haggis on the hill) then they will rotationally graze totally negating the need for both perimeter and forward fencing. I'll just lift them forward each day on to a fresh patch.

all these genetic advancements from the British TFF sheep breeding collective, we will be exporting to NZ before you can say "how much is that ewe worth"
@Kiwi Pete would you like to be at the forefront of the introduction of the self rotational grazing, low input [small head], short legged, twin producing sheep which will always lamb in one day and needs no fencing to NZ ?

I suspect if any of my 'refined genetics' enter the mix they may actually be fugly, but in a cute, being sympathetic to the 'challenged aesthetically' sort of way. Kinda like the ugly barmaid you feel obliged to make small talk with while all your mates ogle the fit ones.
