I sincerely Hope the NFU and our other representative bodies are making hay with this

Its a golden opportunity to finally prove what is actually causing the environment damage. Lets hope somebody who has some media power to make something of it. If we can,t promote ourselfs now there is no hope. The message needs to be spread far and wide by all of us.May be leave it a month or two not to rubs faces in it.
I would have thought it would be time for a elms rethink to.

Thing is.
They will struggle to do so, seeing as they have spent the last 12 months delivering the line "we know cows are polluting the planet, we apologize, there are less cows than there were so we are getting there, bear with us".
Bit difficult to turn that round into "it's ok kids, we got it wrong, cows are ok" ?

I would be wary of being seen to try & score points off the back of the current situation.

Fair enough.
Because after all.
The forces of darkness - those who would see live markets closed, those who would see further consolidation across every sector of UK agriculture as a good thing, those who would see independent retailers/pubs/restaurant driven out of business - will clearly be waiting a polite period of time before looking to capitalize on current events.

The thing is, though, those figures aren't going anywhere. They'll be around next month, next year and whenever they're needed for use.
And they quite clearly show that even as Agriculture stayed at the same level of emissions and production, industry, aviation and transport related pollution is falling off a cliff.

The figures might not be going anywhere. But the pubs, restaurants and independent retailers who we deal with are: down the pan. Does anyone really think that Boris is decreeing what is, and what isn't, 'essential' without big business having a word in his ear ?
Doing my bit though. #pintanight day 4. Going to keep calling in on the way home till they shut Tesco.
