One of my new nieghbors at the door this morning ,,nice lass, would I like some logs .
Me quickly thinking, I am hearing correctly.
Turned out her hubby is working in Manchester area and part of the site clearance was 150tns of split dry logs so he brought three van loads home
Well they have stored what they wanted as only have a tiny log burner .
This lot left ,,happy days

Bees. They’re bloody ace.

Typically, I didn’t have my phone with me to take pics when I wandered out to the yard. I needed to use the hose pipe, but noticed 3-4 bees buzzing around the end of the pipe of which around 5-6 ft was lay on the ground. I stood and watched for a few moments as one appeared to be about to crawl in the end of the pipe. But he didn’t, he just sat there.

After a few seconds, another bee crawled out backwards and flew off, so the next one crawled in. It wasn’t long before another one landed and waited his turn.

I decided not to use the pipe and left them alone.

The look of appreciation in my wife’s eyes as I offer to run her a nice bath after a hard day.

………plus it means I get a good 20/30mins of peace to fall asleep watching Mark Felton war videos in bed on my own without being distracted with important parenting discussions or being tutted at and asked how much is left of the video……. Plus, If I only turn the taps on a little bit, that buys another 5 to 10 mins………. and if there’s a new Evenflow
Video on YouTube I’ll even light the candle as well, so I can watch the video twice 🤭👌

Funny you mention bees...

Just struck an agreement with someone this evening to host their first 2 hives.

First time in over a decade I think we'll have some hives back.

I had one bag of nitrogen left in the shed just for 12 acres of wholecrop. Used the fertiliser charts for spreadrate... ran out of fert on the last spinner as I arrived at the headland on the last run of cuts needing half rates. I was looking at my other records and figured setting 23 would be right, but the charts said 21, so I went with 21. It felt really good not to have to go round a time or two in a faster gear with 50kg leftover or go get a few buckets out of a bag of 24-0-15 or whatever is left at the back of the shed. Washed spreader before lunch, raining by the time I finished lunch. That'll do.
