The quiet of Christmas morning.
The background noise here is the constant rumble of tyres on the the two major roads to the west, which is the prevailing wind here.
And after a month of staff and customers for trees and turkeys, a day of our own timetable. :giggle::sleep:
The irony that one facilitates the other makes the quiet even sweeter.

The righteous feeling that you get when you are the only person about whilst you feed the animals.
I don’t do a lot of feeding livestock on Christmas Day ,
When my daughter’s got older and the single lad’s that worked for us would come in ,and do the feeding .
But I would have to do it on New Year’s Day I just wonder why🤣.

Do you have a photo of said disc sticking out of your leg? I watched saw x last night, I bet it would fit right in.
No, oddly that didn't occur to me at the time. However... because Mrs Danllan is as weird and revolting as you have now revealed yourself to be, at her request I did take a pic just before going for the 'op.

It's not super-horrible, since it had been cleaned a lot on the outside by then, but I'll only post it if the mods give the OK, @Bald Rick ?

It might be a good thing, since it may open eyes to the importance of leg protection in such situations... 🤔

Thanks for that, the main problem is likely to be me... I have a record of being bloody stupid and trying to do too much too soon. However, I think that pain may be a controlling factor this time. 😐
You are not the only one, I put one though my face from the bottom of my nose to my chin including a few teeth.

Not too scarred now nearly 20 years later but a beard does help.

Hmm... I'm pleased it was nowhere near my face. Also lucky that it was only a 5" disc and was part worn down. Nonetheless, it went in for over an inch, and hurt like hell.

Very lucky not to hit my knee, the bone or the femural artery - which could well have been game-over... all pure luck. 👍
