Which is a good enough reason not to allow footpaths to be open when livestock is in the fieldHalf of the livestock ones are members of the public too, not good.
Nearly half livestock related View attachment 972260View attachment 972261
I was thinking something similar, a risk assessment would show that taking dogs on footpaths can cause problems with suckler cows and calves, so dogs should be banned from footpaths.Which is a good enough reason not to allow footpaths to be open when livestock is in the field
To be fair quite a few are footpaths , the livestock ones are mainly BullsI didn’t see that many on there that are specifically livestock related. Most look like machinery related to me, whether that machinery was being used for farming livestock or cropping.
They won't do that , public information is the only way , advise people of the risk and what to do if something happens ,I was thinking something similar, a risk assessment would show that taking dogs on footpaths can cause problems with suckler cows and calves, so dogs should be banned from footpaths.
Trouble with giving advice is,you can end up getting blamedThey won't do that , public information is the only way , advise people of the risk and what to do if something happens ,
Stanmer Park East Sussex has cattle on the park and surrounding fields , they get hundreds of walkers a day many with dogs all over it , no information anywhere to advise of the risks
If cutting/trimming was done by farmer/worker to save costs and if lorry hit power line that was on a farm while doing service for a farmer - all of them can and should be classified as accidents in agriculture.2 died felling trees. Agricultural ? 1 lorry driver hits power lines. Agricultural ?
I was thinking more the Government, or The National Trust Perhaps , backed up by the NFUTrouble with giving advice is,you can end up getting blamed
Surely members of the public being killed on footpaths should not go down as a agricultural employment sector death? Same as people killed on farms whilst doing building works should go down as building site incidents?
