Voted for brexit.... don’t like it booo hoo... then sell your massive asset and someone else will have a go....there is no “ right to farm” ....change always comes.... adapt or move aside.... simple .
Just because she was too thick to understand what Brexit was it doesn't mean others didn't. Stupid woman !!!

I may well have misunderstood..... but I think there are two separate businesses in the video- the chap said he voted leave, set out his concerns but also his hopes

The woman on the other hand..... pretty confident she is neither a leave voter or a tory voter.
Seems to think she knows exactly the reasons for brexit and thinks she can speak for the entire industry.
1600-1700 acs and fudging whining.... struth!

Had to chuckle at two of her lines- Brexit will cause small and medium farms to disappear
&
The number of farmers has shrunk drastically over the last 20 yrs

Hmmmm...... that would be the last 20yrs inside the EU....... little contradictory me thinks 🤣🤣🤣

I can't help thinking your outrage is purely down to anger at someone voting for Brexit and jealousy at someone who is in a very privileged position in terms of farming.
If you put those thoughts aside, they are just giving an honest evaluation of their farming outlook.
You really need to understand that if someone as lucky as them struggles then the chances for everyone else will be worse, not better.
Brexit has opened a box of opportunity for all. It has presented the chance for the government to give UK ag a sound platform for us all to be build on for future decades. I'm not sure anyone could have predicted that the mother of Boris's baby would have control over it's destruction.

I'm certainly not a person to shout for sympathy or charity but as an industry we really need to wake up and realise that some of the decisions made in the next few months/ years will seal our fate. Much better we shout while all is to play for than cry afterwards.

She is most definitely not a Conservative voter. She’s stood, unsuccessfully, as a Lib Dem candidate several times.

More recently, she has spent a couple of years blitzing Facebook with anti-Brexit posts at every opportunity. I guess this was just another one, but with some glossy camera work.

Yep shes constantly at it when theres anything negative to report. Soon disapears when theres any good news. Anyone that disagrees with her has been accused of being a Nazi, not caring about farming, tory stooges, working for domonic cummings (i got that one as i live in durham) any critisim of her, she runs to the mods. Shes off her rocker.

Not taking a stance however for me was the interesting bit when the guy says he hopes to expand his farm. For him to expand someone else has to fail or give up.
Yes, I thought that too.
He voted for Brexit to expand and get a bigger farm, but doesn’t want foreign food policy destroying all the small family farms including his?
He doesn’t necessarily have to take on more land to “expand” his business, he could be talking about export opportunities or diversification. It’s still expanding his business without hoping for the neighbours to fail.
