Friday 1-12


A cold northerly winds will affect England & Wales again. Many places should stay dry and bright with good amounts of sunshine. A few wintry showers around coasts in the east & south-east, locally moving inland to give a dusting of snow. showers near Pembrokeshire and Cornwall coasts should fade. Scotland & the north-west,will have thickening cloud and outbreaks of rain, preceded by snow in places. high of 6C/43F


Saturday 2-12

fronts will moving south across Britain in the early hours, resulting in extensive low cloud and murk to start the morning, with some places staying cloudy with patchy drizzly rain for some areas, but amounting to very little overall. some brighter skies at times. northwesterly breeze mostly light. less cold as previous days,High of 10C/50F


Sunday 3-12

Cloudy skies with patchy rain or drizzle,amounts generally small, in the south-west for most of the day. North-eastern Britain may see some cloud breaks and a little sun. Winds staying light northwesterly. Fog patches in southern areas may be slow to clear. Slightly milder than previous days Highs of 10C/50F

less cold over the weekend - But Indications are it will be getting much colder again later next with possible snowstorms of course we at metjeffuk will keep the #thefarmersforum updated.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
