After a very windy day with rain and in Scotland storm force winds and snow most places will become dry or a time before colder air moves in with wintry shower. high of 13C will to 6C/43 by the afternoon

Thursday overnight:

It stay windy overnight with a high wind chill. heavy snow showers in many northern and western areas, with some places waking to a covering of snow by the morning. Eastern and southern parts of England should be mostly dry, although there will be some wintry showers affecting eastern coasts as well as south-western hills and coasts of England. Lows at -3/27F

A very cold day again with heavy snow showers around northern and western coasts and hills as well as through the far southwest of England I'm expecting 2-5cm with 4-7cm over high ground A few wintry showers around northern and eastern coasts and hills too. Elsewhere dry and bright with good spells of sunshine it going to feel bitterly cold in the wind. Highs 0C /32F in the north up to just to 4C./39F in the south but feeling sub-zero everywhere.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
