The Northern alliance is a group mainly from the Tajik tribes who are a minority tribe with in Afghanistan. Seems a bit like the Border Reivers clans of the 1500s from which my ancesters were part of,except on a much bigger scale.

Looks a nasty one, so much respect for those who are still working in that situation. Watching FR24, there is still a steady stream of planes coming and going - various nationalities of C17, C130 etc. Right now a U.K. one coming in to land, with a US following and then another pair further south.
