I’d say it’s more the best stagger you’re after…you could have 12.5cm spacing and have it not bung up if the drill was long enough to allow for multiple rows
I have a concord air drill with 12 inch spacing. Four rows on the frame and each row is 3 ft apart. It will pass nearly any amount of trash. Even a small square bale will go thru if it has no strings. If it’s driven at 5 mph there is enough soil throw to cover front two rows with soil and the rear two rows have tines that move soil back over themselve followed by a packer tire. Each tine has a six inch spread via a low disturbance shovel/wing with a seed splitter underneath. Very popular and dependable unit.
