Your better off with the bigger one if you have alot to do. I got the Erbauer EBR1750 as the titat one was out of stock when i needed it. I have used both and the Erbauer one has much better anti vibration and is worth the extra.

Yes the sds drills are ok for small jobs but the purpose built concrete breakers will take out concrete slabs with ease. I have a cheap scheppach one that was on offer from aldi. I used a couple of other brands previously and they all seem to be very similar. If there's not much to do, levering it up with a bar and hitting with a sledge hammer works pretty well too.

When I was helping my son knock down walls for a couple of new patio doors at his house, we were working together. I had my old Kango 500 (500W) & he had his Tiatan SDSMax (I think) which was 1500W. The Kango was marginally better, which shows that Chinese kiloWatts are about 300 WesternWatts...

I’ve had some experience of Titan and Erbauer and found both to be very short lived. The ones I had were certainly built down to a price and failed out of warranty but after very little work. I have a big breaker from some well known ‘Japanese’ brand that has done way more work over two decades, but probably only a few month’s work for a professional builder. I’m fairly sure that it’s a Makita. Will have a look later on.

I've had an Erbauer SDS drill for around 20 years and whilst it doesn't get quite so much use these days it hasn't had an easy life and got used extensively during its early life. It's been left out in the rain, dropped, used as a breaker, hung from its power lead, etc., but it solidly refuses to die. On the flipside I had a 9 inch grinder that after a couple of longish sessions the plastic around the bush housings went brittle and failed. The warranty claim was rejected as it was sold as light use only and I had over done it!
