TM 155 power-command wont change up gears after 12th

As above, very occasionally it wont change up gears above 12 and beeps as if its in top gear. The T8 can do this when the transmission oil is too cold as a protection feature, but the TM only does this when hot and only for a while, and can cure itself without stopping or anything.

When it happens the auto change switch also does nothing.

I think? while you are stationary the changes only go to 12 so may be related?

Any ideas????

On mine when the oil is hot, It will not change between 12 and 13 unless the tractor is moving slightly and I dip the clutch while changing gear. I think it’s a Solenoid valve which needs changing which is under cab floor but for what I do with the tractor I cannot be bothered it mess with it

Its been playing up a little today and dipping the clutch didnt work, (neither did a recalibration) BUT, when it goes wrong the speed drops to zero, so all made sense I thought (I had it showing pto speed before), but then it also stopped working with the speed still working. I cleaned the radar looked for bad connections, nothing wrong. The fuse to the radar does gauges and external switches, maybe they have a poor connection... they work fine though?

Damper plate sensor???

The damper plate on our 190 started to break up and damaged the sensor and it caused all sorts of electric problems (PTO errors/linkage problems/power shift not working) over a couple of years

Changing the sensor provided a short term fix (12 months), after changing it a couple of times we split the tractor and put a new damper plate in. The horns on the outside of the plate that the sensor ‘counts’ had started to break off and damaging it.

No electrical gremlins since it’s been changed!

Just had a look, the damper plate sensor is behind the side plate for the font linkage, should I have had an error code?
On range command gearbox if you have a bad speed sensor it won’t allow the tractor to shift up and it sounds a lot similar to your problems

Where is this speed sensor?
There are 3, and are very similar if not identical, one near where you would expect a clutch lever on the bell housing, (very easy)....one behind the fuel tank in the side of the transmission, sort of under the handbrake lever, and one the other side in the side of the transmission sort of under where you would have a diff lock pedal area

My problem one was the third one, needed tank draining and moving.

I've had those sensors confuse the machine before, I think they earth through the chassis as I cured my issue bu cleaning off the corrosion on the brass the bolt goes through
