TM 190 free flow oil return

Any idea where the correct place is to fit one on a NH TM190?

At the moment it’s fitted directly above the top link pin. BUT it running Rapid on it and with the fan at 4000rpm oil from the return is blowing out of the breather plug that’s on the other side of the spool block.

Has anyone fitted the return anywhere else? It’s almost like the oil is hitting the cross shaft and splashing back up the breather. If you speed the fan up more oil comes out.

Or is it a faulty breathe cap?

There are two bungs in the top of spool valve block ,the larger one is for return and the smaller one is power beyond feed ,I think it tells you in the handbook

Had this a long time ago on a TM and I think we somehow put a small section if pipe inside=the fitting with a 90 degrees bend on it, problem stopped from memory

Use the power beyond return port on top of spool block as said by Norse above. Ideally make a short hose up and then put a large Q/R fitting in the pipe bracket rail.
