This tractor is a peach.
Owned from new.
Always serviced by myself once warranty was out.
Everything works still.

Except the Ruddy thing has dementia, the lift loses its memory, so it tries to lift constantly even though it's right up, sometimes it recalibrates itself so you can't get a trailer off.

It's had a new panel in the cab, new potentiometer for height, new switches on fenders, new loom, disconnected the lower draft pins, had all the plugs under the cab apart sprayed contact cleaner.

At a bit of a loss, it's been going on for ten years now at least. Don't really want to get rid as it's still useful.
We reckon its got to be the ECU/computer.
Can anything be done or is it a new one?
Any ideas will be welcomed.
Tia.

When the linkage on our tm was playing up, it turned out to be the cable for the fan had rubbed on the radiator and was shorting out. The fan and linkage, along with other things are on the same reference circuit so can confuse each other
Hope that helps

Controller will ask you to calibrate E24 if you disconnect arms position sensor.
So if you sure about the sensor the possibility could be:
Intermittent loose power or earth for the sensor. - it could be common for other sensors, need to be check on diagrams.
(depended of year of your TM and controller/gearbox version)
Intermittent loose signal from arm position sensor-faulty cable or input in controller.
If any above could be an error just before E24. Depending how long error pop up it is possible it was stored in memory - retrieve from H menu.

Where are you in the world?
What year on TM?
What ver gearbox?
Photo of controller 😁

A damaged damper plate sensor caused exactly the same intermittent issues on our TM 190. Replaced the sensor and it was fine, until some more bits came off the damper plate and damaged the sensor again. Replaced the damper plate eventually.

Take the sensor out and inspect it for damage

May I piggy back on this thread please?

We have a TM190 that intermittently stops giving a speed read out - it could be once a year and then a few days on the trot. I have looked everywhere from the radar back but cannot find any wires obviously chafed and wondered whether it might be related to something else. It is not the end of the world but would be nice to fix, as like the OPs TM it has been owned from new and does what is asked of it.

I'm Romney marsh.
No error codes come up, just the calibration says , ie, 75, when it's actually right up.
Or it'll reset that so you can't lift trailer hitch up.
Y reg.
Power command.

Any error code?
Is is show speed without radar?.

Get hold of the designer, put him up against a wall and shoot him as a warning to all clever rock designers who live in virtual reality design offices.
Eliminate them before they design nuclear power plants!

Radar can get damp and loose sensitivity or stop work but as long is connected system will not switch to sensor on wheel.
On older tractor may give you an error becouse sleeping controll and then may need to be switch of in settings or H menu or laptop.
