Turbo seals most likely, or the cold start plug is leaking fuel which is quite common, so take that out first reconnect the pipe and pump the lift pump to see if it dribbles out or not.

If turbo seals i wouldn't leave it too long, its possible it will leak in to the inlet and then start running away in a big cloud of smoke and unless you very quickly block the air intake will likely blow the engine up/chuck a rod out the block then it will be scrap.

When I rev it lightly the. Switch it off I can hear the manifold Tinking possibly the bearings ? It’s like a lightly spaced rattle that fades away ?

Ok so the impeller was very slack, - VERY once removed it had significant play either end. The new turbo is fitted - Perkins , new engine oil and new filter along with afew gaskits. Turbo was 700 plus odds and sods and fitting 3 hrs I’d advise wd40 on the nuts for a day or two to get them to come off with to much of a fight anyways hope this information helps others. Thanks for all the input guys
