Last night as I was finishing I had a roller on the baler jam. On investigation this morning I found out the Bush which holds the roller and bearing in place had broke so rang Does. The only one in the company was at Framlingham so off I go on a jolly into deepest darkest Suffolk to get it.

I wasn't sure It was the right part when I got there but took it anyway. I got home and sure enough it was wrong so got on the lathe and made one...wish I'd done that in the first place.

Not bad for a country bumpkin even if I do say so myself.

Tad cheaper too I'm sure!

Been shopping for parts today also. Needed some straw walker bearing parts. Turns out dealer only had one of two parts I needed. Thankfully have an SKF no so can hopefully pick one up from bearing supplier tomorrow. Make an interesting price comparison against dealer....Simply Bearings want £20.
