Nothing much new to report here, more wind, more rain, more sun in between.
Kept me inside most of the day, lambing still quietly happening, up to 10 lambs now
Still got 9 calves drinking (y)
Here's a 1st birthday picture of last year's runt

for @holwellcourtfarm since he liked the look of him back in June.

Hold on tight UK, hopefully your storm fizzles out a bit before she hits (y) looks like it will, and I hope it does.
No need for silly storms, at this point

Depends on how much rain we get [emoji57] if we get enough to make it leach it will be too wet to put it on in the spring anyway, so if the conditions allow crack on and get it on

Ours goes on at this time of year too, however it is down the spout on the drill. Bit of extra potash on in the spring.

Bit of a shame, my calves would love them all smashed up like that :(:hungry:
Intending to grow some in my tunnel for them one day. They can eat them with their silage in winter :hungry:

We've had a few for the bitch thats just had the puppies, makes a good base for food as its good for the digestion :)

Great minds, our pup Tip loves pumpkin and egg mixed up, in fact she licks my orange work gloves thinking it's pumpkin!
I grew some last year but was a little too late really, they didn't get very big before I had to get them out and redo the chip, but I have my vines growing already (y) waiting to transplant them in there.

I can't take credit it for the knowledge, the good lady is the dog breeder, I've got enough to do with farming and plumbing ;)

Seeding 2 acres of dumping ground around our old farmstead. It's been a development site for the last 6 years so plenty of bricks blocks and general rubbish about. The trip clutch went too many times to remember.

Being back there was a little sad, I was born and spent all my life at this farm. Today there is a young family living in what was the old milking parlour... Think this is what they call progress. (n)
