Us amatures don't have time for such delicacies.....Did you have time for tea and scones? ....Phil always has time for tea and scones....
Turing over some more ground , not been ploughed for 8 years it’s a bit tough going . Subsoiled last year.
Not turning over too badly got to love pylons !
Last week
Cvx sheared the bolts on the pro shaft again ( third time, a bad design imo ) this time all the bolts but one sheared off inside so new shaft needed.
Striped it down & popped the pto unit out onto the floor…ala @Phil P
Tho unlike Phil I have to wait for parts before going any further, so I see how it goes together.
Made some “special tools “
Ready to go back in
Sorted.
Yes , it’s all dairy cow grazing last ploughed 8 years ago I thinkPermanent grass ?
Thank youNice and straight, Good job.
None of the above. What are you driving with pto .
Happen Shaft to long in length
Turning corners with pto in gear
Or poss as with some power harrows for example when lifted up pto shaft joints bottom out or knock and cause vibration
Only trying to help not preach
Does that work well nothing worse than plowing into rootsTrying to break a few roots near the hedges before the reseed.
Find a pto spanner out of a old zetor crystalNone of the above.
Shaft is bolted on, used to get swapped to run the power harrow before we got a 6 spline end on it, then the bolts worked lose, 1 snapped off inside so we put 7 new 12.9 ones in with loctite a couple of years ago. Now they have worked loose & 6 snapped off inside this time, it's not a great setup, can't hold the shaft while tightening the bolts either unless it's hooked up to something then can't get a socket on.
Should be sorted this time, won't be getting changed again either.
Well it broke a lot of them, I am worried about suckers that are coming out of the hedge - ideally I would have liked to go a bit closer but with a single leg machine and a nice fence I didn't think that I could or ought to go any further.Does that work well nothing worse than plowing into roots
Why would you not want to live somewhere like this?
This is looking from the opposite side of the valley to us.
