This last few days I've been removing the toolshed electrics, windows and doors along with clearing the machinery shed next door. Ready for contractors to remove now.View attachment 775104 View attachment 775106
The roof trusses are quite unusual but I think it was a second hand shed put up in 1952. Trafford tile asbestos roof has gone porous in numerous places along with serious girder corrosion at ground level. Hope to have replacement building ready before harvest all being well..View attachment 775108 View attachment 775112

Those roof trusses are identical to most in our buildings, asbestos in a similar condition....hoping in these high winds we are going to donate it to a neighbour:D

There is some weight in the angle iron purlins but is certainly a different design to the modern portal frames. Was a big shed in it’s day,but not quite high enough for today’s needs. It’s had a few nibbles at the edges:D

Got our new to us little Deere home at the wk end , a few small jobs done on Saturday then a friend asked if he could have it on loan to put on his beet drill . So today the wheels went out to 80” , autotrac fitted and it’s loaded up ready to be delivered tomorrow morning . Not really what I had in mind for it but a bit of light work won’t hurt . Strange thing is though my two lads are always going on about how we should change one of our tractors as soon as JD bring out something new and we need a new tractor with this or that, but they can’t keep out of this 32 year old basic small tractor with no bells and whistles. !!
