Had to stop subsoiling.this point has done about 5 acres and when tip has worn underneath it won’t stay at depth in the ground.think I’ll look into some differant leg bottoms next year.any recommendations.View attachment 832079View attachment 832080

Have you tried metcalfe's? Always found there parts the best compared to other brands like the one's that begin with s and end in ing's whos parts wear sat in the yard

I think I’ll have to have a word with them.i use genuine cousins points and it’s seems criminal throwing away 90% of the metal when the bottom leading edge has dissapeared.

Does that spreader give much trouble? thought about buying one if a came across one

I had one for years;

They are getting a bit long in the tooth now I reckon, fine for a small amount of muck perhaps but I remember spending as much time spreading as mending.

Chains are a peculiar Russian size and not very strong, tyres are a peculiar Russian size although I only needed one. Doesn't like being overloaded.

I was doing 250 loads a year with it though.

To get planning permission, it had to look the same from the road as before it was started. Hence the Cotswold barn and the broken down shed beside it. The house itself is all below ground level.
