Had a rather heavy shower overnight.

how far can you dig in an hour?
what depth is pipe?

I had the bucket made by these guys

In good digging and where you can run with the ground you’ll hook out 30/40 odd meters plus an hour, things slow up when your on the laser to keep grade
I tend to run 800mm to 1m deep unless more depth is needed to get through a high spot etc

Chopped up some pallets for kindling ready for YFC log sales

Made some plates for the bottom of the workshop door and finished off sealing along the kitchen sink tiles

Mending a fence beside the spillway really tested out bladder control.

The water just keeps on trickling over.

and about 50 bird watchers on the causeway on the right watching so couldn't do anything to relieve the problem.

Checking the sheep wasn't much of a chore though

Got a bit distracted by swans etc.

Finished my ploughing for the year this morning then combi drilled it.just got several soggy clayish fields to drill now if they dry up.all pics from same field.has taken a week to keep doing a bit then drilling between the rain.

Manitou got a bit more mature today after 18 months.

Sorting out some cull sows for the morning before the B word might alter the mind of the customers (the Germans take them all).

Some of them are quarter tonne pigs.

They go direct to the abattoir, average price about £180 which never seems much for so much meat, mind you, this time last year they were worth £75 ish

Hope not a stupid question, can you take up clipex fencing and use it somewhere else? is that very easy ?

Yes it’s easy, slacken the net, unclip net, lift posts out with a claim and a pair of mole grips then wrap the net up
